It’s hot and it’s almost here – Vancouver’s breathtaking night of fashion and flair, RED. A celebrated cast of the city’s top impersonators, dancers, models, designers, hair stylists, and make-up artists are uniting to put on an unforgettable fashion show at the Harbour Event Centre on May 13th, 2017. RED is a fashion, dance and talent extravaganza that takes guests on a 90-minute theatrical journey through the lives of people living with HIV (PLHIV). Now entering its second year, RED a Positive Day takes us to Vegas and is sure to be an evening of nonstop fun. This year’s high-energy event is staged by 200 volunteers rallying together to donate their time, talent and loving care in support of Positive Living BC—Western Canada’s largest consumer-based HIV service organization. Vancouver’s top impersonators, dancers, models, musicians along with hair stylists, makeup artists, designers and retailers it will be a spectacular show for over 800 guests converging on the Harbour Event Centre for an unforgettable evening on Saturday, May 13.
As Western Canada’s largest HIV organization, Positive Living BC serves a membership of over 5,700 HIV-positive people. The Society provides a spectrum of health and wellness focused programs and services that empower people to manage their wellbeing and meet the social, medical and legal challenges of living with HIV. Annually, the Society sees over 16,000 visits. Funds raised at RED will ensure this support continues and will assist different populations within Positive Living BC’s membership, including youth, senior citizens, transgender people, indigenous peoples, men and women.
